Music and movement play a large role in Master Beinsa Douno's teaching, as means of attuning oneself to God through the cosmic rhythms of Nature. The Paneurythmy, Sunbeam, and Pentagram movements combine music, movement, and, ideally, a natural setting to join with others in a sacred circle for self-healing and healing the world. Beyond the music for these exercises, Beinsa Douno composed a substantial body of uplifting, transformative music, for voice and instruments.

Paneurhythmy Live at Rila, 2003 - Every August, followers of Beinsa Douno from around the world camp in the Seven Lakes region of the Rila Mountains in Bulgaria, to dance Paneurhythmy, sing, hike, and celebrate the wonders of Nature, God, and spiritual fellowship. The high point of the celebration is the August 19 Paneurhythmy gathering on the plateau near the 5th Lake, with many musicians in the center of the circle, surrounded by around one thousand dancers in three circles of pairs. Much of the music has a "down-home" feeling that may make it less than optimal for just listening. But we've found that for dancing outdoors, the music is truly ecstatic. The next best thing to "being there". Check out the legendary extended version of "How Happy We Are", in the preview. $10. Preview

Paneurhythmy Sung in English by Phyllis Thorpe - Vessela Nesterova was a close disciple of Beinsa Douno, who had a strong mastery of English as well as a strong connection to higher inspiration. Many of the first translations of Beinsa Douno's teaching into English are from her. She composed hauntingly beautiful music and poetry. She also brought through the inspiring English version of the Paneurhythmy lyrics. It is based on the original Bulgarian lyrics by Beinsa Douno and Olga Slavcheva, but also offers a distinctly unique free poetic interpretation. These lyrics clearly express the themes of each movement, and are the ones most commonly used by English speaking dancers of Paneurhythmy. Barnaby Brown has added minor changes to the lyrics, to make them more aligned with modern English (see booklet Paneurhythmy, Introductory Lyrics). Phyllis Thorpe, president of Paneurhythmy Circle of Joy, brings her sweet voice to this music, against the background of Joanna Strateva's violin and Bojidar Dimov's guitar. This CD combined with the written lyrics is a great way to learn to sing the Paneurhythmy. $10. Special Offer: CD & Lyrics booklet: $12.50. Preview

Paneurythmy with Violin, Flute, and Harp, Snejan Popov (violin), Barnaby Brown (flute), Derek Bell (harp), and Zdravka Baramova give a high quality, beautiful presentation of the Paneurythmy music, including The Sunbeams (a truly exquisite composition) and The Pentagram. Two versions are given, one with the "traditional" number of notes, and a version that removes certain traditional notes in order to be consistent with another interpretation of Beinsa Douno's Paneurythmy teachings. Within the spectrum of tempos to which Paneurythmy is played, these versions are on the faster side (there appears to be traditional precedent for a variety of tempos), making for a more energetic vs. contemplative dance. And the music alone makes great listening. $15. Preview
