Evera Audio & Video
Music and movement play a large role in Master Beinsa Douno's teaching,
as means of attuning oneself to God through the cosmic rhythms of Nature. The
Paneurythmy, Sunbeam, and Pentagram movements combine music, movement, and,
ideally, a natural setting to join with others in a sacred circle for
self-healing and healing the world. Beyond the music for these exercises,
Beinsa Douno composed a substantial body of uplifting, transformative music,
for voice and instruments.

NEW! The New Music
Concert The musical family of conductor/orchestrator Georgi
Simov, his sister violinist/organizer Yoana Strateva, and her son, guitarist
and Audio Editor Bojidar Simov, have all come together to present this
exquisite orchestral/choral concert, performed in 1996 in Sofia, and produced
in CD form in 2004. The richness of a full orchestra with Georgi's
classical/romantic blending of instruments puts Beinsa Douno's music into a
whole new light, revealing more of its true majesty. In order to help raise
money for a second concert of this magnitude, Evera Books is charging $16 for
this CD. To help further this second concert project, with your ideas, efforts,
or financial support, please contact Yoana Strateva at

Paneurhythmy Live at Rila, 2003 - Every August, followers of
Beinsa Douno from around the world camp in the Seven Lakes region of the Rila
Mountains in Bulgaria, to dance Paneurhythmy, sing, hike, and celebrate the
wonders of Nature, God, and spiritual fellowship. The high point of the
celebration is the August 19 Paneurhythmy gathering on the plateau near the 5th
Lake, with many musicians in the center of the circle, surrounded by around one
thousand dancers in three circles of pairs. Much of the music has a "down-home"
feeling that may make it less than optimal for just listening. But we've found
that for dancing outdoors, the music is truly ecstatic. The next best thing to
"being there". Check out the legendary extended version of "How Happy We Are",
in the preview. $10. Preview
Paneurhythmy Sung in English by
Phyllis Thorpe - Vessela Nesterova was a close disciple of Beinsa Douno,
who had a strong mastery of English as well as a strong connection to higher
inspiration. Many of the first translations of Beinsa Douno's teaching into
English are from her. She composed hauntingly beautiful music and poetry. She
also brought through the inspiring English version of the Paneurhythmy lyrics.
It is based on the original Bulgarian lyrics by Beinsa Douno and Olga
Slavcheva, but also offers a distinctly unique free poetic interpretation.
These lyrics clearly express the themes of each movement, and are the ones most
commonly used by English speaking dancers of Paneurhythmy. Barnaby Brown has
added minor changes to the lyrics, to make them more aligned with modern
English (see booklet Paneurhythmy,
Introductory Lyrics). Phyllis Thorpe, president of Paneurhythmy Circle of Joy, brings her sweet voice to
this music, against the background of Joanna Strateva's violin and Bojidar
Dimov's guitar. This CD combined with the written lyrics is a great way to
learn to sing the Paneurhythmy. $10. Special Offer: CD & Lyrics booklet:
$12.50. Preview

Pan-Eu-Rhythmy, This arrangement was recorded secretly by an all-female
orchestra in February, 1980, in Sofia Bulgaria, before the Iron Curtain fell.
It has been digitally enhanced, and is offered on a CD. The sound quality is
good, and the tempo is considered by many to be ideal for dancing Paneurythmy.
The CD case is beautiful, with a variety of excellent photos and commentary.
All the movements are included, including the Paneurythmy,
the Sunbeams, and the Pentagram. $12. Preview

Dance of the
Butterflies, This playful version of Paneurythmy for children, presents the
initial movements of Paneurythmy with a story of a caterpillar changing into a
butterfly. The music of La Femme Orchestra, with narration by Elena Ross.

Dance)
Paneurythmy with Violin, Flute, and Harp,
Snejan Popov (violin), Barnaby Brown (flute), Derek Bell (harp), and Zdravka
Baramova give a high quality, beautiful presentation of the Paneurythmy music,
including The Sunbeams (a truly exquisite composition) and The Pentagram. Two
versions are given, one with the "traditional" number of notes, and a version
that removes certain traditional notes in order to be consistent with another
interpretation of Beinsa Douno's Paneurythmy teachings. Within the spectrum of
tempos to which Paneurythmy is played, these versions are on the faster side
(there appears to be traditional precedent for a variety of tempos), making for
a more energetic vs. contemplative dance. And the music alone makes great
listening. $15. Preview

side B, with instrumental accompaniment. $9.00

dances. $9.00

unique and beautiful interpretation with flute, harp, and string instruments,
with cues for the start of each song. It is produced by Barnaby Brown, and is
very similar to the new Paneurythmy CD, with the revised number of notes, and a
similar tempo. $9.00.

- Peter Deunov's PANEURHYTHMY featuring Paneurhythmy in Rila,
1977 - with Gregory Kiossev and Maria Mitovska "This film was organized under the inspiration and guidance of
Krum Varzharov who became a disciple of Beinsa Douno in 1927 and witnessed the
presentation of the Paneurhythmy exercises. Although it was forbidden in
Communist times, Krum organized a group of young people and, together with
other disciples, passed on the teachings.... In 1977, out of concern that the
spiritual essence, inspiration, and visual pattern of the authentic
Paneurhythmy movements be preserved, two young students were selected to
demonstrate the Paneurhythmy movements as they had been performed by Peter
Deunov and were presented by His disciples." Although the film
was damaged in storage, substantial portions of each of the 28 movments have
been restored, and the essential grace and beauty of Paneurhythmy is fully
demonstrated. Scenes of Gregory and Maria dancing are interspersed with nature
video primarily from Rila, and commentary on the movements by Phyllis Thorpe.
